Yowamushi Pedal Watch Order Guide

Yowamushi Pedal is a formulaic take on the shounen-sport genre, and formulaic is an excellent word to describe how Yowamushi Pedal keeps the viewer hooked despite the supposed predictability of the events within the show. On the surface, the show appears to be your typical sports firebrand for the tired and uninterested, wrapped in a cycling medium. Still, it balances its earnest goals with a strong focus on character development and story arcs, making it an enjoyable introduction to the genre.

Yowamushi Pedal has excellent art and character designs, a good soundtrack, surprisingly good humor, and original character dynamics that any sports anime beginner would be able to enjoy. However, the show is not incredibly enthralling: it lacks the wit and originality or even the raw power of sports series like Haikyuu. Yowamushi Pedal certainly differs from the other sports series; however, it is not as different as you may expect, but overall it is still a fun watch.
