Where Does Made in Abyss Anime End In The Manga?

Made in Abyss is an adventure mystery manga series written and illustrated by Akihito Tsukushi. The manga received an anime adaptation in the summer of 2017. Made in Abyss anime has been considered a hit, according to MAL Top 10000. So, if you liked the anime and can’t wait for the next season, you could continue the story in the manga.

The 13-episode season one of Made in Abyss anime covered the first 26 chapters of the manga. The movie, Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul covers upto chapter 38. Therefore, you can start reading the manga from chapter 39, titled The Capital of the Unreturned, volume 6 of the Japanese and English-translated versions.

Tsukushi launched the Made in Abyss series as a manga series and later serialized the manga online in Web Comic Gamma. Since then, the manga has been compiled into 10 volumes.

The first season of the anime, animated by studio Kinema Citrus, aired on AT-X, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TVQ, Saga TV, and BS11 from July 7 to September 29, 2017. The anime’s new installment is also set to premiere in the summer of 2022.

Seven Seas began publishing the series in English in 2018 with this synopsis: In an age when the corners of the world have been scoured for their secrets, only one place remains unexplored–a massive cave system known as the Abyss. Those who traverse its endless pits and labyrinth-like tunnels are known as “Cave Raiders.” A young orphan named Riko dreams of following in her mother’s footsteps as a Cave Raider, and when she meets a strange robot when exploring the Abyss, she’s one step closer to achieving her goal!
