Made in Abyss is an adventure mystery manga series written and illustrated by Akihito Tsukushi. The manga received an anime adaptation in the summer of 2017. The 13-episode season one of Made in Abyss anime covered the first 26 chapters of the manga. The movie, Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul covers upto chapter 38. Tsukushi launched the Made in Abyss series as a manga series and later serialized the manga online in Web Comic Gamma. Since then, the manga has been compiled into 10 volumes.
The first season of the anime, animated by studio Kinema Citrus, aired on AT-X, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TVQ, Saga TV, and BS11 from July 7 to September 29, 2017. The anime’s new installment is also set to premiere in the summer of 2022.
