Where Does Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun Anime End In The Manga?

Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun) is a rom-com manga series written and illustrated by Izumi Tsubaki. The manga received an anime adaptation in the summer of 2014. Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun anime has been considered a hit, according to MAL Top 10000. So, if you liked the anime and can’t wait for the next season, you could continue the story in the manga.

Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun anime is hard to follow in the manga as it adapted the chapters out of order. So I advise reading the manga from the beginning. However, if you still want to read the manga where the anime leaves off and don’t mind the skipped chapters, your best bet is to start around chapter 46, volume 5 of the Japanese and English-translated versions.

Tsubaki launched the Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun series as a four-panel manga series and later serialized the manga in Square Enix’s online magazine Gangan Online. Since then, the manga has been compiled into 13 volumes.

The first season of the anime, animated by Doga Kobo, aired on TV Tokyo from July 7 to September 22, 2014.

Yen Press began publishing the series in English in 2015 with this synopsis: Umetarou Nozaki, a classmate who is brawny in build and brusque in speech, is a dreamboat in the eyes of high school student Chiyo Sakura. So when Chiyo finally summons the courage to tell Nozaki how she felt about him, although she was aware that she might get rejected, she never expected to be hired as a manga-ka assistant. But for someone who makes a living drawing sweet girly romances, Nozaki-kun is a little slow when it comes to actual matters of the heart. And so Chiyo’s daily life of manga making and heartache begins!
