Tokyo Ghoul Watch Order Guide

Tokyo Ghoul is not an anime for people with weak stomachs who dislike gore and blood, a constant theme in the series. But other than being gory, Tokyo Ghoul also explores a very strange path where it humanizes and villainizes monsters called ghouls. It is a bizarre anime that makes fans root for human-looking man-eating creatures. The reason for its appeal is very simple. Like humans who can’t think on an empty stomach, the ghouls are very similar.

The series focuses on the point that there is no clear distinction between good and evil, and it all depends on perspectives. So not trying to be very philosophical, Tokyo Ghoul is a psychological anime involving drama and mystery, where viewers get a perspective of the life of ghouls and how they live among humans while feeding on them. If you are a fan of psychological anime that makes you select lesser evil or play devil’s advocate, you should check out Tokyo Ghoul.

Tokyo Ghoul is a psychological action-drama anime series adapted from the manga of the same name written and drawn by Sui Ishida.

Synopsis: Identical to humans but with a hunger for human flesh, ghouls are creatures that blend into the human population. Ken Kaneki, a shy student, started developing a crush on Rize Kamishiro after seeing her regularly at a coffee shop. One day, he decided to ask her out, to which she agreed.

After their date, while walking Rize home, Kaneki soon discovers her hidden motives. She is a ghoul who was after Kaneki, but mysterious circumstances lead to Kaneki waking up at the hospital instead of dying at the hand of Rize. But he soon notices a change in his body, and the reason is organ transplants he received from deceased Rize’s body.
