Durarara!! Watch Order Guide

Durarara!! is a series that is intriguing and frustrating at the same time. For one, it’s a masterfully blended supernatural fantasy series with a more modern urban setting. But also suffers from an overall lack of depth in nearly all aspects of the series. This series could have had a lot of depth, both in structure and storytelling, if not for pacing issues and random plotlines.

However, Durarara!! has a distinct sense of class and style, memorable to Baccano, and one that I believe many people will enjoy for those reasons. The series also makes the best use of its characters, who are more complex, interesting, and play more of a critical role in their world and are given enough to do to make them memorable. Overall, the series remains intriguing, but whether it is well-written or not is ultimately up to each viewer’s personal preferences.

Synopsis: Ikebukuro, a Tokyo downtown district, is home to strange rumors and local gangs. But the most bizarre thing in Ikebukuro is the mysterious Black Rider, which gossips claim to be a headless existence. After encouragement from a childhood friend, Mikado Ryuugamine, a countryside teenager with a craving for the supernatural, decides to move to Ikebukuro. On his first day in Ikebukuro, he witnesses the Black Rider, triggering a series of events that indirectly affect other people living in Ikebukuro.
