Synopsis: Japan has developed an exoskeleton weapon called Infinite Stratos (IS). It is so powerful that countries have signed treaties to ban the use of Infinite Stratos in wars. Ichika Orimura, a teenager, has been found to be the only male capable of piloting an Infinite Stratos. Due to this, he was forced to join IS Academy, where he will learn to become an IS pilot.
