Psycho-Pass Watch Order Guide

The concept of a dystopian setting in which a futuristic world is controlled by an autonomous administration that creates a symbolism of good and bad is nothing new. The idea can be traced to other anime series such as Ghost in the Shell and Ergo Proxy. Psycho-Pass is one such anime with a mix of police drama, cyberpunk, and mysteries. It is an intellectual delight for any viewer.

Although the concept in Psycho-Pass is not very original, it does have enough coherence in its narrative to be worthwhile watching. It’s part sci-fi, part philosophical, part action, which blends seamlessly and combines the best elements to create something unique. It is a good anime to watch if you are looking for something different from the usual anime fare. It has a lot of action and a lot of drama.

Psycho-Pass is an original cyberpunk psychological thriller anime series produced by studio Production I.G.

Synopsis: The population of futuristic Japan is governed by advanced technology known as the Sibyl System and the Enforcers. The Sibyl System employs cutting-edge technology to predict a person’s likelihood of committing crimes. Enforcers are a group of elite police officers who use this advanced technology to track down and apprehend criminals. A Psycho-Pass is a device that can assess a person’s mental health, emotional well-being, and stress levels.

The Sibyl System orders immediate execution if the Psycho-Pass device deems a person to be dangerous. However, the Psycho-Pass device raises many ethical concerns for Akane Tsunemori, a new police officer assigned to the Sibyl system. As she works around solving several crime cases, she soon learns that the Sibyl System’s judgments are not as perfect as others assume.
