Rurouni Kenshin is a shounen anime series adapted from the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki.

Synopsis: Kenshin Himura is a vagrant who was once known as the Hitokiri Battousai, a legendary assassin. While roaming the country, he ended up in Tokyo and met Kaoru Kamiya at her kendo dojo. Someone was claiming to be Hitokiri and threatening Kaoru. Kenshin helps her get rid of the imposter, and in return, Kaoru offers Kenshin a place to live at her dojo. Thus began the assassin’s normal life, or he thought because the ghosts of his past were returning to haunt him again.
