Despite being an ecchi harem series, High School DxD is one of the most enjoyable anime, with one of the most compelling storylines. High School DxD is your typical fan service anime, filled with risky shots and uncensored nudity. Although some of these ecchi themes and characters were annoying, they served to keep the series’ stakes higher with each episode.
High School DxD is not exactly the most intellectual series you’ve seen. Still, it tackles enough high-brow concepts to offset the harem and sexual elements to give you an enjoyable experience. High School DxD delivers on what it promises to be, an action-harem with much fanservice, comedic moments, and a bit of romance. It’s not a series for those looking for something novel, but High School DxD sucks you in from the start and won’t let you go.

High School DxD is an ecchi harem anime series adapted from the light novel series of the same name, written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero.
Synopsis: Issei Hyoudou is a perverted high school student. One day, out of nowhere, he was asked out by a beautiful girl on a date, to which he gladly accepted. Everything was going well for him until he found out that the girl he was dating was a fallen angel, who then brutally killed him as Issei possessed a power that could threaten her kind.
As he is dying, a girl with crimson hair appears before him and resurrects him as a devil. The girl was Rias Gremory, a top-class devil who recruited Issei as her servant. Issei is now living a new life while learning about the world of angels and devils. However, he still has a long way to go before reaching his full potential.
